  • 4 Tomato medium size
  • 2 Onion medium size
  • 2 tsp Channa dal
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 to 3 Red Chilly Kashmiri chilly or Byadagi chilly
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt


  • In a pan add 1tbsp oil, cumin seeds, channa dal, saute.
  • Add dry red chilly, saute.
  • Now add onion slices, stir.
  • Add tomatoes, salt.
  • Mix well.
  • Close the lid and cook for 4-5 mins on medium flame.
  • Allow it to cool down.
  • Add cooked tomato-onion mixture to a mixing jar.
  • Blend it a fine paste, do not add water.
  • Spicy Tangy Tomato-Onion Chutney Ready To Have.
