Pudina Chutney, a tangy-spicy chutney best combination with hot rice or chapati, stir fried pudina-coriander-green chilly blended with coconut-tamarind.

  • 1 cup Pudina/mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup Coriander leaves
  • 3 Green chilly
  • 1/3 cup coconut chopped/grated
  • 1/4 cup Roasted chana dal
  • 1 Tamarind small lemon size
  • 7 - 8 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Oil


  • In a kadai add oil, add green chillies, stir for 30 sec on medium flame, add pudina and coriander leaves, saute for 2 mins. Switch off the flame and add roasted chana dal, give a stir.
  • In a mixing jar add chopped coconut, garlic cloves, tamarind, cooked pudina-coriander-green chilly-roasted chana dal, salt and 2-3 tbsp of water.
  • Grind it to coarse paste.
  • Pudina/Mint Chutney ready to have.
