Pineapple Sheera / Kesari / Halwa

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Semolina
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/3 + 1/4 cup Ghee / Clarified Butter
  • 1.5 tbsp Cashew
  • 1 tbsp Raisins
  • 4 Cloves
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1/8 tsp Saffron strands
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder

Instructions

  • Soak saffron strands in hot/warm milk for 10 mins.
  • In a pan add 1/3 cup ghee, cashew, raisins, cloves.
  • Saute it for 1 min on medium flame.
  • Add Semolina / Rava / Sooji.
  • Saute it for 6-7 mins on low flame.
  • Add 3 cups boiling water, mix well, till no lumps.
  • Add chopped pineapple.
  • Mix.
  • Add sugar.
  • Mix well, sugar melts, cook for 2 mins on low flame.
  • Add saffron soaked milk.
  • Mix well.
  • Add cardamom powder, 1/4 cup ghee.
  • Stir well.
  • Close the lid and cook for 4-5 mins on low flame.
  • Yummy Dessert Pineapple Sheera / Kesari / Halwa is ready to have.
