Palak Paneer / Green Paneer

Ingredients

  • 200 grams Palak / Spinach
  • 200 grams Paneer
  • 2 medium Tomato
  • 2 medium Onion
  • 5 Green chilly
  • 6 to 7 Garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 2 tbsp Cashew
  • 1 tbsp Kasuri Methi
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Cream
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 2 Cloves
  • 4 Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 2 Bay Leaf
  • 1/2 tbsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  • Onion Paste :
    In a vessel add water, onion, ginger, garlic, green chilly, cashew, cook for 5 to 6 mins, let it cool down.
    Grind it fine paste.
  • Palak Paste :
    In a vessel add water, bring it to boil, add spinach, cook for 2 mins, remove and place spinach in ice cold water.
    Grind spinach to fine paste.
  • In a pan add oil, add paneer slices, fry on both side till golden brown.
  • In a pan add oil, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, cumin seeds, bay leaves, saute for 1 min.
  • Add onion paste, stir, add tomatoes, mix well, close the lid and cook for 2 to 3 mins on medium flame.
  • Now add spinach paste, mix well, close the lid and cook for 2 mins.
  • Add turmeric powder, salt, garam masala powder, mix and cook for 3 to4 mins on medium flame.
  • Now add crushed kasuri methi, give a stir, add fresh cream, Lastly add fried paneer, mix well.
  • Palak Paneer ready to have.
