Palak Coconut Chicken
Palak Coconut Chicken, a gravy recipe, chicken cooked in palak-coconut paste.

Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Chicken
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 2 tbsp Ghee / Clarified Butter
- 1 inch Ginger
- 10-12 cloves Garlic
- 3-4 Green Chilly
- 1/2 cup Mint Leaves
- 1/2 cup Coriander Leaves
- 1.5 cup Palak
- 1 tbsp Roasted Chana Dal
- 2 small Tomato chopped
- 1/2 cup Fresh Coconut chopped/grated
- 1 big Onion chopped
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Salt
- 1 cup Water
Instructions
Palak-Coconut Paste :
- In a pressure cooker add oil, ginger, garlic, green chilly, saute.
- Add mint leaves, coriander leaves, palak.
- Saute for 2 mins.
- In a mixing jar add sauted palak mixture, roasted chana dal, tomato, coconut.
- Blend it fine paste.
Preparing Palak Coconut Chicken:
- In a pressure cooker add oil+ghee, onion, saute.
- Add chicken, stir, cook for 2 mins.
- Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt, mix well.
- Add palak-coconut paste, stir well.
- Add 1 cup water, mix.
- close the lid and cook for 1-2 whistles on medium flame.
- Delicious Palak Coconut Chicken is ready to have.
