  • 1 cup Gram Flour / Besan
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida / Hing
  • 2 tbsp Hot Oil
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 cup Oil for frying


  • In a vessel add gram flour, turmeric powder, salt, hing, hot oil, Mix well.
  • Add water little by little.
  • Prepare sticky dough.
  • Grease sev maker.
  • Add sticky dough into sev maker.
  • Heat oil in a kadai.
  • Press out thin strands, deep fry for 30 sec on both sides, on medium flame.
  • Crispy Nylon Sev is ready to have.
