Methi malai murgh recipe is fried methi leaves cooked with yogurt marinated chicken pieces.

Ingredients

  • 500 gm Chicken
  • 3/4 cup Methi leaves
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cream
  • 1/4 cup Cashew
  • 2 tsp Poppy seeds
  • 3 Onion
  • 7 Green chilly
  • 10 cloves Garlic
  • 2 inch ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Salt
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Ghee

Instructions

  • Poppy seeds-cashew paste: In a blender add soaked poppy seeds and soaked cashew, grind it to fine paste
  • Onion-green chilly-ginger garlic paste: Add ginger, garlic, green chilly, onion to a blender, blend it to fine paste
  • In a bowl add chicken, curd, salt, onion-green chilly-ginger-garlic paste, mix well , marinate for 30 min.
  • In a pan add 2 tbsp oil, add finely chopped fenugreek leaves fry on a medium flame for 4 to 5 min, till it becomes crispy. keep aside.
  • In a pan add 1 tbsp oil+1 tbsp ghee, add finely chopped onion, fry for 2 min, add marinated chicken, mix well, cook for 5 mins, add poppy seeds-cashew paste, mix it, cook for 2 mins.
  • Add fried fenugreek leaves,  mix it, add milk, cook for another 2 mins, add pepper powder, garam masala powder, fresh cream. cook gravy becomes thick.
  • Methi Malai murgh ready to have
