Methi Dal / ಮೆಂತ್ಯ ದಾಲ್
Methi Dal / ಮೆಂತ್ಯ ದಾಲ್, a gravy recipe, fenugreek leaves cooked in mustard garlic tempering and cooked dal.

Ingredients
- 1 bowl Fenugreek Leaves chopped
- 1/3 cup Toor Dal
- 1/4 cup Masoor Dal
- 1 tbsp Moong Dal
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 2 strings Curry Leaves
- 8-9 cloves Garlic small
- 1/8 tsp Hing/Asafoetida
- 3-4 Green Chilly slits
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 1 medium Tomato chopped
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 cups Water
Instructions
- In a pressure cooker, add toor dal, masoor dal, moong dal.
- Add water, turmeric powder, stir.
- Close the lid and cook for 4-5 whistles, dal is ready.
- In a kadai, add oil, cumin seeds, curry leaves, hing, garlic, green chilly, saute.
- Add onion, salt, saute.
- Add tomato, give a mix.
- Now add finely chopped fenugreek leaves, close the lid and cook for 3-4 mins.
- Add cooked dal, stir well.
- Close the lid and cook for 4-5 mins.
- Healthy Delicious Methi Dal is ready to serve.
