Ingredients

  • 2 cups Fenugreek Leaves chopped
  • 1/2 cup Jackfruit Seeds crushed
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 8-10 cloves Garlic crushed
  • 3-4 strings Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • 3-4 Green chilly slits
  • 1 big Onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup Coconut grated
  • 1/3 cup Water

Instructions

  • In a kadai add oil, cumin seeds, garlic cloves, curry leaves, Saute.
  • Add green chilly, onion. Cook till onion gets translucent.
  • Add turmeric powder, salt. Mix.
  • Remove skin of jackfruit seeds, crush and make 4 pieces.
  • Add crushed jackfruit seeds, mix well.
  • Now add water.
  • Close the lid and cook for 4-5 mins on medium flame.
  • Now add chopped fenugreek leaves, sugar.
  • Stir well.
  • Close the lid and cook for 3-4 mins on medium flame.
  • Stir, cook till water gets drains.
  • Add grated coconut, stir.
  • Menthya-Halasina Bele Palya / Methi-Jackfruit Seed Sabji is ready to have.
