Masala Puri
Masala Puri, a chaat recipe, tangy, spicy street food, crushed puri served with masala gravy with tomato-onion-sev toppings.

Ingredients
For Masala Puri Gravy :
- 1/2 cup Green Peas soaked
- 2 medium Potato
- 2 cup Water
- 1/3+1/4 cup Oil
- 1/2 inch Cinnamon
- 2 Cloves
- 10 Peppercorns
- 2+1 medium Onion for gravy+for garnishing
- 2+1 medium Tomato for gravy+for garnishing
- 1 cup Coriander Leaves
- 1 inch Ginger
- 8-9 cloves Garlic
- 2 Green chilly
- 1 tsp Chaat Masala Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tbsp Red Chilly Powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Salt
Instructions
Cooked Green Peas+Potato :
- Soak green peas overnight.
- In a pressure cooker add soaked green peas, potato, water.
- Close the lid and cook for 4-5 whistles.
- Smash the cooked green peas and potatoes, keep aside.
Tomato-Onion Paste :
- In a pan, add oil cinnamon, cloves, pepper corns, ginger, garlic, green chilly.
- Add onion, tomatoes, saute.
- Close the lid and cook for 5 mins on medium flame.
- Saute, let it cool down.
- In a mixing jar add cooked tomato-onion mixture, add coriander leaves.
- Blend it fine paste.
Masala Gravy :
- In a pan add oil, tomato-onion paste.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, chaat masala powder, garam masala powder, salt.
- Mix well.
- Add cooked and smashed green peas-potato.
- Mix.
- Add water.
- Stir well, cook for 3-4 mins on medium flame.
Masala Puri Plating :
- In a plate add crushed golgappa puris.
- Pour masala gravy evenly on puris.
- Add mint chutney and tamarind sweet chutney.
- Top up with chopped tomato, chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves.
- Sprinkle with some chilly powder and chaat masala powder.
- Sprinkle crushed sev.
- Delicious Masala Puri is ready to have.
