Kadai mushroom recipe, Mushroom cooked in a blend of dry spices powder, with a flavour of capsicum.

  • 200 gm Mushroom
  • 2 big Tomatoes
  • 1 big Onion
  • 1 small Capsicum
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Kasuri methi
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Cream
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 Cup Water

Kadai Masala Powder

  • 1 tbsp Coriander seeds
  • 4-5 Kashmiri Red Chilly
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 inch Cinnamon
  • 1 Green cardamom
  • 2 Cloves
  • 5-6 Black pepper corns
  • 1 strand Mace


  • Dry roast all the dry spices in kadai masala powder ingredients group, cool down, blend it to fine powder.
  • Chop the tomatoes, blend it to puree, keep aside.
  • In a kadai add 1 tbsp oil, add roughly chopped mushroom, fry for 2 to 3 mins. keep aside.
  • Add capsicum cubes in the same kadai, fry for 2 mins, keep aside.
  • In a kadai add 1 tbsp oil, add finely chopped onion, fry for 2 mins, now add ginger garlic paste, fry for another 2 mins. Add tomato puree, give a stir, close the lid and cook for 3 mins.
  • Add turmeric powder, prepared kadai masala powder, mix well. add 1/2 cup of water, and salt, bring it to boil.
  • Now add fried mushroom and capsicum, close the lid and cook for 3 mins.
  • Add fresh cream , give a stir. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Kadai mushroom ready to have.
