  • 1 Bowl Cooked Rice
  • 12 - 15 Green Chilly
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh Coconut Grated
  • 2 - 3 tbsp Coriander Leaves finely Chopped
  • 1 Lemon Big
  • 1 - 2 String Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp Channa dal
  • 1 tsp Urad dal
  • 2 tbsp Peanut
  • 1/2 tbsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard
  • 4 tbsp Oil


  • In a pan add 2 tbsp oil, add green chilly, fry till it changes colour. keep aside, let it cool down.
  • Green Chilly paste: 
    Add fried green chilly to a blender, blend it coarsely, do not add water. 
  • In a kadai add oil, mustard, as mustard starts to splutter, add channa dal and urad dal, fry till it turns light brown, now add peanut, fry for a min, add curry leaves, fry for 10 secs, add green chilly paste, fry for 2 mins in medium flame.
  • Now add salt mix well. switch off the flame and add lemon juice. 
  • Now add cooked rice, grated coconut mix well. 
  • Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves. 
  • Spicy Green Chilly Rice ready to eat.
