Ingredients

  • 1 Bread Fruit/Deevi Halasu/Bera Halasu
  • 2 tbsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Lemon
  • 1/4 tsp Asafoetida / Hing
  • 1/3 cup Semolina /Rava
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  • Bread Fruit.
  • Peel off the skin.
  • Vertically cut into 4 pieces.
  • Remove the top spongy part.
  • Cut into slices, keep it in water.
  • Dry using kitchen towel, keep aside.
  • In a vessel add breadfruit, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, hing, salt, lemon juice, mix well.
  • Marinate for 15-20 mins.
  • Roll marinated bread fruit slices on semolina, keep aside.
  • Heat a tawa, grease oil, place breadfruit slices, sprinkle some oil, cook for 5 mins on low-medium flame.
  • Flip, sprinkle some oil, cook for another 5 mins on low-medium flame.
