ಬೇರ ಹಲಸು ಫ್ರೈ/ Bread Fruit Shallow Fry, bread fruit slices marinated in gram flour-spice powder, shallow fried.

Ingredients
- 1 big Bread Fruit
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 tbsp Red Chilly Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1/2 tsp Asafoetida / Hing
- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 tbsp Besan / Gram Flour
- 1/4 cup Water
- 4 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Chaat Masala
Instructions
- Bread Fruit / Deevi Halasu / Bera Halasu.
- Peel off the skin.
- Vertically cut into 4 pieces.
- Remove the top spongy part.
- Cut into slices.
- Keep it in water for some time.
- In a vessel add breadfruit slices, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala powder, asafoetida, besan/gram flour, water.
- Mix well, marinate this for 15 mins.
- Heat a tawa, grease oil, add marinated bread fruit slices, sprinkle some oil on.
- Cook for 3-4 mins on medium flame on each sides, flip.
- Sprinkle with some chaat masala powder.
