Beetroot Rice/Pulao
Beetroot Rice/Pulao, a pulao recipe, chopped beetroot cooked with rice and spices.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Basmati rice washed and soaked
- 1 cup Beetroot chopped
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 1/2 inch Cinnamon
- 1 Cardamom
- 2 cloves
- 2 Bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 3 - 4 Green chilly slits
- 1 medium Onion slice
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 medium Tomato chopped
- 1/3 cup Mint leaves chopped
- 1/3 cup coriander leaves chopped
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups Water
- 1/2 Lemon
Instructions
- Wash and soak basmati rice for 20 mins.
- In a pressure cooker add ghee, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, cumin seeds.
- Add green chilly, onion, ginger garlic paste.
- Saute.
- Now add tomato, mint leaves, coriander leaves.
- Saute.
- Add chopped beetroot.
- Saute.
- Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt, mix well.
- Add soaked basmati rice.
- Now add water, mix gently.
- Add lemon juice, give a stir.
- Close the lid and cook for 2 whistles.
- Beetroot Rice/Pulao is ready to have.
