Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Thick Poha
  • 1 medium Aloo/Potato
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Peanut
  • 2 strings Curry Leaves
  • 1 Green Chilly chopped
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 tsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 tsp Coconut grated

Instructions

  • In a bowl add washed poha, add water, soak it for 10 mins.
  • Squeeze out the water from the soaked poha.
  • In a bowl add poha, sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp turmeric powder, mix well, keep aside.
  • In a pan add oil, add chopped potato, shallow fry for 2 mins on high flame, keep aside.
  • In the same pan for the left over oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, peanut.
  • Saute.
  • Now add curry leaves, green chilly, onion.
  • Saute.
  • Add salt, saute.
  • Add prepared poha-turmeric-salt-sugar mixture.
  • Mix it well.
  • Finally add sauted aloo, chopped coriander leaves, grated coconut.
  • Stir well.
  • Aloo Poha is ready to have.
