Ingredients

  • 1 medium Cauliflower / Gobi
  • 2 medium Potato / Aloo
  • 5 tbsp Oil
  • 2 medium Onion
  • 2 medium Tomato
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tsp Chilly Powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper Powder
  • 1 tbsp Kasuri Methi
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 Cardamom
  • 2 Bay leaf
  • 1 string Mace
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic Paste
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Coriander leaves

Instructions

  • In a pan add oil, gobi florets.
  • Shallow fry for 2 to 3 mins on medium flame.
  • Add chopped potatoes.
  • Shallow fry for 3 to 4 mins on medium flame, keep aside.
  • To the same pan for the left over oil, add bay leaf, cumin seeds, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom star anise.
  • Saute.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, onion paste.
  • Saute it for 2 to 3 mins.
  • Now add tomato puree.
  • Saute.
  • Add turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, pepper powder.
  • Mix well.
  • Close the lid and cook for 3 -4 mins on medium flame.
  • Add fried cauliflower and potato.
  • Mix well.
  • Now add salt and crushed kasuri methi, mix it.
  • Add water according to semi gravy consistency, stir.
  • Cook for 3 more mins on medium flame.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • Aloo Gobi is ready to have.
